Parasites are not only appalling, but often have negative effects on the health of humans and animals.
In the areas where we work in Bolivia, livestock such as cows, sheep or llamas are regularly treated against parasites. However, infected dogs or cats repeatedly transmit the parasites to the dewormed livestock, or to humans. Last year, we trained 1’671 families about the proper keeping and health of pets and dewormed their dogs and cats. This year, around 4,000 pets will be treated against parasites.
