Greece

Greece, situated at the crossroads of Europe, faces significant social and economic challenges, with healthcare access issues and food insecurity being very present, particularly among vulnerable populations.

The economic challenges and refugee influx have placed immense strains on the social cohesion of Greece. The healthcare system has been weakened, making access to essential services increasingly difficult for both Greek citizens and refugees. Meanwhile, food insecurity is a reality, and many vulnerable groups struggle to afford nutritious meals. The situation calls for urgent intervention to address the multifaceted challenges facing Greece.

In response to these challenges, Suyana focuses on delivering professional eye care services to refugees, as well as supporting the Food Bank of Greece in mitigating fresh surplus food in Athens. By collaborating closely with local partners and communities, we strive to combat food insecurity and alleviate immediate hardships. Through these efforts, we aim to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those most in need in Greece.
