Uganda

In Uganda, like in many other sub-Saharan African countries, widespread poverty exacerbated by rapid population growth and inadequate infrastructure, presents significant challenges for rural communities. Limited access to basic amenities and economic opportunities further compounds the situation.

Despite recent economic growth, many households in rural areas still face dire circumstances. The gap between the needs of the population and available resources continues to widen, hindering progress and perpetuating poverty.

At Suyana, our projects are centred in rural communities, where the need is greatest. By leveraging our experience in empowering communities facing extreme poverty, we work to build sustainable livelihoods and create opportunities for a brighter future in Uganda.
